The Rainbow
My heart leaps up when I behold
A rainbow in the sky:
So was it when my life began;
So is it now I am a man;
So be it when I shall grow old,
Or let me die!
The Child is the father of the Man;
And I could wish my days to be
Bound each to each by natural piety.
The big idea of the poem is that he wants to feel the same way throughout his whole life.
Yellow- Jump shift
Green- Repetition
Purple- Metaphor
In a station of a metro
The apparition of these faces in the crowd;
Petals on a wet, black bough.
It is short becuase the doors open for a bit and then and then they close fast
The black bough symbolizes the platform
